Learning bobbin lace

I decided that I wanted to learn how to make bobbin lace so signed up for classes at the American Swedish Institute. It's a small group with each member working at varying levels of proficiency on individual projects. I have two more sessions in this round of classes. I made a little sampler bookmark to try out several kinds of stitches. The photo is a work in progress. It is meant to be an edging, but I will most likely just use it as a bookmark.

  1. This looks so complicated! How long will it take you to finish it, do you think?

  2. I hope to have it finished by the next class on April 22nd. I'm only doing a bookmark length piece so that makes it a little easier.
